Broken Heart Robot

There was a time when it was rare for actual people to show up in my photographs, but lately I've found myself pulling in live talent more and more. It's something to do with the challenge and the further blending of the real world with the one I see through the viewfinder.

For example, I had a fantastic time last month photographing Craig Anthony Perkin's Broken Heart Robot. The sad little guy was posed against a blissfully happy "space couple." The resulting shot you see above is the culmination of a lot of work by a great team:

I am extremely excited to announce that the Ginchy Mimobots will be hitting shelves this month!! If you're in Los Angeles, I hope you'll come out to the official launch party Thursday, October 26th at Munky King on Melrose. Lili Chin and I will be on hand showing artwork and signing toys, and Phofo will be spinning live!!!!
