While You Were Sleeping

Issue #28 of While You Were Sleeping Magazine has hit newsstands with two articles that I wrote and photographed. Go get it now!!

I thought you'd enjoy a sneak peek.

Above is a photo I shot for an article on the amazingly talented artist, illustrator, toy designer, and cartoonist Gary Baseman. There was supposed to be an entire series of images that both Gary and I shot to accompany the article, but I'm sad to say that most of them got cut due to space restrictions. However, I enjoyed the shots so much that I've put them online in a special section here. They are a look into Baseman's studio and some of the items he draws inspiration from.

The second article is on the upcoming mini-figure line Neo Kaiju that is being produced by STRANGEco and Super 7 Magazine. It is an unbelievable collaboration between these companies and some of the most groundbreaking artists today - Gary Baseman, Tim Biskup, Seonna Hong, Kathy Schorr, and Todd Schorr. The little guy you see down there at the bottom is an unpainted prototype of Tim Biskup's "Birduzasu."

The past month has been insane (in a good way) for the studio. Lots of new clients, and lots of killer assignments. Be looking for some really fun stuff that I can release in the coming months.
